Cancellations and refunds policy

Modification or cancelation of a booking order

  • Modifications or cancellations by the charterer on booking parameters are not permitted once the first payment has been made unless the modification or cancellation is made within the first 24 hours after the payment is made.
  • Boatjump only accepts money refunds within the first 24 hours after the payment is made. Post 24 hours of the booking any refunds, modifications or cancellations are no longer accepted.
  • All owners recommend that the charterer included travel insurance on all their bookings. Especially for rentals commencing during the hurricane months of the Caribbean: June to November. The main providers are:

The charterer could refuse a booking under the following circumstances:

  • Prior to 60 days before check-in date (service date). In this case, the charterer will not have the right to receive any refund of the amounts already paid for the rental services. The money received at this date will be kept as a penalty for advance cancellation by the owner. The charterer will not have to assume the payment of the percentage pending to be paid. This will be the cancellation policy to apply unless the owner has a different cancellation policy. In these cases, the cancellation policy of the owner will be communicated to the charterer with the booking confirmation and the charterer may cancel his booking if he does not agree with the cancellation policy of the owner within a maximum period of 24 hours from the confirmation.
  • At any time within the 60 days before check-in date (service date). In this case, the charterer will not have the right to receive any refund of any part of the amounts already paid for the rental services and payment of the remaining amount can be required until 100% of the payment is completed.
  • Between the date of embarkation and disembarkation, the charterer may desist from the rental service of the vessel, however, no amount will be refunded and the shipowner could charge the cost of transferring the boat to the base port as well as early cancellation fees.
  • The charterer must communicate in a written email his/her willing of service cancellation to Boatjump SL (at info@boatjump.com) and to the service owner at the email provided in the booking confirmation.

Boatjump SL reserves the capacity to cancel, refuse or suspense a booking under any the following situations:

  • Under Court, Policy or Administrative authorities.
  • When Boatjump would have any doubt about the truth of data provided, either personal data or payment data, and the charterer is unable to provide enough support documentation to Boatjump or to the owner to evidence the truth of data within the required times.
